- Green strawberry quartz is green aventurine jade (quartzite jade). Because it is different from ordinary aventurine jade, the chromite flakes inside are particularly large, loosely arranged, and resemble strawberries, so it is called green strawberry quartz. The chromite mica in ordinary aventurine jade is very small, tightly arranged, and looks like jade. Green strawberry quartz will reveal a transparent background between the mica flakes, making them look more like quartz. The certificate is usually written as quartzite jade, but there are also certificates for particularly clean green strawberries that can produce crystals.
