• Tiger’s eye stone is a gemstone with a cat’s eye effect, mostly yellow brown in color, with a silk like light pattern inside the gemstone. Tiger’s eye stone is one of the varieties of quartz, which can be replaced by pseudocrystals made of bluestone, cotton fiber, and silicon. Tiger’s eye stone is a variant of wood variable stone.
• The quartz fibers of Tiger’s stone are shorter than those of wood variable stone, and the direction is irregular, arranged in any direction like stripes.
• Generally, it has a black and yellow tone, resembling the pattern of a tiger, but there are also blue, yellow, and black tones, known as blue cat eye stones (often referred to as “noble gems”).
• Cat Eye stone is mainly produced in gas formed hydrothermal deposits and pegmatite veins, while the blue variant species produced by the incomplete silicification process of Tiger’s eye stone are called “Eagle Eye Stone”.
• The world’s largest tiger’s eye and woodite deposits are located in Transvaal Province, South Africa. In addition, they are also produced in Brazil, Henan Province, China, and other places.
