Red Vein Jasper, also known as “Red Creek Jasper” or “Cherry Creek Jasper”, is a type of jasper with characteristic red veins or stripes. And is a form of chalcedony, which itself is a microcrystalline variety of quartz. It is a sedimentary rock that often contains other mineral inclusions.
This jasper is known for its cream color, often accented with stripes, veins or patterns of another color, red, pink, orange. These patterns are caused by other minerals and oxides.
